The “Paid Through Date” or “PTD” is the date that the container is satisfied through, either by the settlement of fees due, allotment of free time or a Hapag-Lloyd release process. This can also be considered the “Good Through Date.” This is beyond and different from the original “Last Free Day” or “LFD.”
Hapag Lloyd Customers will have access to a Container Watchlist which provides full container status event visibility throughout the Container Lifecycle, including Last Free Day management. By entering a pick-up date, the portal will dynamically calculate any demurrage fees due while allowing registered users to settle the charges using their PayCargo account.

Currently, this portal is only for the settlement of U.S. import demurrage charges. However, all charge types can be settled at PayCargo.com
Please refer to individual Terminal instructions as to how to settle charges levied by the Terminal Operator.
The Portal has established direct connectivity with the Terminal Operating Systems. Communications flow back and forth in a timely manner. Some Terminals rely on EDI messaging which is not immediate and may experience a delay of up to one [1] hour to reflect status changes.

“Port” represents “Merchant Haulage” import movements, whereby “CH” represents “Carrier Haulage” container moves. “CIT” stands for “Container Inland Terminal” and identifies an inland rail movement.
Container Holds from Hapag-Lloyd will show as either “Line” or “Line Demurrage.” For any other holds, please contact the Marine Terminal Operator.
PayCargo’s automated generation of OSRA-compliant pro-forma invoices speeds up the payment process while offering a seamless accounting experience.
The portal will manage data flows related to container status event monitoring, hold and release communications, as well as last free day updates with each Hapag Lloyd’s service terminal.
The portal provides a single lens for Hapag-Lloyd customers with a container watch list that displays timely marine and container status, accurate monitoring of container events that start and stop the clock on demurrage calculations, as well as fee payment functionality.
With real time connectivity, Hapag-Lloyd customers will benefit from access to immediate removal of fee holds, enabling improved operational productivity, including greater container throughput and reduced dwelling units.
