About Port of Everett

The Port of Everett, located 25 miles north of Seattle on Puget Sound, is a deep-water port focused on bringing jobs, business, and tourism to the surrounding communities. It plays a key role in efficiently moving goods within Washington state and globally. The Port operates three main lines of business: Seaport, Marina, and Real Estate. The Seaport specializes in handling over-dimensional cargo, including parts for the aerospace industry, while the Marina is the largest public marina on the West Coast. Additionally, the Port manages 3,000 acres of waterfront property and is working on a major $360 million development project, Waterfront Place, to enhance economic prosperity.

The Port of Everett supports more than 35,000 jobs in the region and is the largest port in Washington by economic output. It ranks as the second-largest container port in the state and serves nearly 110,000 people within its district. Established in 1918, the Port operates as a Special Purpose District, governed by three commissioners and focuses on economic development. In 2017, the Port had an $89 million operating and capital budget, with 60% of jobs in Snohomish County tied to trade activities.
